The Sean M. Healey & AMG Center for ALS at Massachusetts General Hospital is on a quest to discover life-saving therapies for people worldwide who are affected by ALS. The Healey Center, led by Merit Cudkowicz, MD, MSc, draws on our scientific expertise, uniting laboratory investigators, clinicians project managers, bioinformatic specialists and others to radically accelerate innovations in pursuit of a cure for ALS. The HEALEY ALS Platform trial is the first ALS platform trial, efficiently testing multiple new ALS therapies and treatments at once, reducing the cost of research by 30%, decreasing the trial time by 50%, and increasing patient participation by 67%.

Since 1998, Compassionate Care ALS (CCALS) has supported individuals diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), their families, communities and healthcare providers as they navigate the physical, spiritual and emotional challenges associated with the disease. Since our inception, CCALS has provided a myriad of resources including psycho-social support, durable medical equipment, educational opportunities, Medicare/Medicaid assistance, augmentative communication support and counsel and guidance in navigating the complexities of living with ALS. CCALS continues to offer an innovative approach to delivering support and services to our clients. Our core mission is to enhance quality of life and when invited explore end of life.
