The ALS Association filed a formal objection to health insurer CIGNA for the company’s decision to exclude Relyvrio from its formulary. In a letter also shared with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the Veterans Administration, the Association called on CIGNA to reverse its decision.

The ALS Association, the only national nonprofit fighting amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) on every front, applauded the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) announcement today that it has approved Radicava (edaravone), the first new treatment approved specifically for ALS in 22 years. The FDA approved Radicava less than a year after Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma Corporation submitted a New Drug Application. There are only two other approved treatments specifically for ALS, Riluzole and Tiglutik.

Marjio opened her own personal training studio, MOTIVATION STATION, last September. While providing a safe environment for Marjio and her clients, the studio has also provided increased flexibility for her role as caregiver to Terry.
