Late in 2022, more than 200 leaders from over 40 countries representing the Alliance’s many member associations came together, both in person and virtually, to share updates on the progress being made around the world in ALS care, support, technology, science and organizational development.
The Hoffman ALS Clinic Development Awards Program is focused on supporting clinical programs that have, as their foundation, highly skilled experts dedicated to ALS and who drive innovation and quality improvement.
Gail and Paul Dotson wanted to donate to their friend Dave’s Walk to Defeat ALS® team, Pam’s Pals. The Dotson’s grew pumpkins all summer and engaged their grandchildren in the harvest, sale, and donation process.
Anthony Vick spent 16 years serving his country in the Army and Air Force Reserves, including 10 years in the civil service. Vick says he was lucky to be able to serve his country, service that came to an end in 2017 when he was diagnosed with ALS.
From that moment, Kids4Cure: Two Brothers on a Mission, was formed. The boys registered a team in the Cincinnati Walk to Defeat ALS in the fall of 2004 and rallied support from across the community. In their inaugural year, they raised more than $80,000 and brought nearly 550 people to walk with them.
