We are so excited to partner again this year with Endicott College for our 2022 North Shore Walk to Defeat ALS on Sunday, October 23, 2022! We can't wait to walk with you - will you join us?
We are thrilled to be having our 2022 Worcester Walk to Defeat ALS at Worcester's brand new Polar Park, home of the Worcester Red Sox (WooSox), on Sunday, September 18, 2022!
Once we kick off the event with our opening ceremonies, walk or roll our 1-mile course right on the baseball field. We'll have coffee and breakfast offerings to get you started that morning.
We can’t wait to welcome special guest Smiley, the Woo Sox’s iconic mascot, stopping by to encourage all of us on our walk. Be sure to flag Smiley down for a photo with your team!
The ALS Association supports ACT for ALS and the Promising Pathway Act as they were originally introduced in the last Congress. Following the 2020 election, a new Congress was sworn-in in January of 2021. The legislative process requires that both bills be reintroduced to the newly elected Congress, and we are working with our congressional champions to reintroduce them as soon as possible. We believe both bills will make a positive impact on people living with ALS and look forward to working with the community and Congress to pass them.
“To say that Gae Skager has been a beacon of hope in the ALS community is a significant understatement,” says Anne Supplee, Care Services Coordinator from The ALS Association Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota Chapter. “Since her diagnosis in 2003, Gae has made it her mission to educate others, raise awareness and fund research for ALS.”
The Tampa Bay CEO Soak is a "grown up" version of the Ice Bucket Challenge engaging corporate leadership to get soaked while raising money to benefit The ALS Association Florida Chapter. Tampa Bay area executive leaders that commit to being a “Soakee” will raise awareness and funds for ALS patient care, research and advocacy – providing critical support to ALS families. It will all culminate at a Tampa Bay area fountain where the "Soakee" will be soaked in their work attire. This is a great incentive to engage your employee base along with your personal and professional networks.
