Rebecca Moss

Professional Position: Senior Counsel
Company: Ledcor Group
Location: Austin, TX

Rebecca first got involved with the ALS Association in Texas in 2011 when she learned her favorite law school professor lost his battle with the disease. Rebecca saw how quickly the disease can rob someone of their ability to do the things they value most in life when she sat in the last class her professor ever taught, just two years after his diagnosis. Rebecca began her work in Texas by serving on the Austin Walk to Defeat ALS Committee. In 2013, she was invited to join the Board in Texas and went on to serve as Chair of the Public Policy Committee.

Through her trips to Advocacy Day and involvement in Texas, Rebecca has met so many incredible people living with ALS and their caregivers. Unfortunately, Rebecca learned that as she continues to dedicate her time to the ALS Association, the list of people she knows and who have lost their battle with ALS grows at an unacceptable pace. This motivates Rebecca to always do more. Rebecca has been a part of and witnessed incredible efforts to serve people living with ALS and their families. From the response to Hurricane Harvey to helping identify solutions to serve people living with ALS throughout the sprawling geographic area that is Texas, Rebecca has seen firsthand the amazing things that can happen when people work together to fight ALS.

Rebecca lives in Austin, Texas where she serves as Senior Counsel for the Ledcor Group of Companies. Prior to joining Ledcor, Rebecca practiced law in both large and small law firm settings where she focused on construction law and transactional project finance work. Prior to practicing construction law, Rebecca worked in governmental relations, serving as the Legislative Director for the Texas Association of Manufacturers and representing clients before the Texas Legislature. In her free time, Rebecca and enjoys live music, the outdoors and college football (Go Gators!) with her husband Forest and amazing Blue Heeler and Kelpie mix rescue dog named Percie. Rebecca grew up in Tallahassee, Florida and received a BA from University of Florida in Business Administration. Rebecca attended law school at the Florida State University College of Law prior to moving to Texas in 2008.
