The purpose of this booklet is to provide basic information about home care for people affected by ALS. While a variety of symptoms are manifested in individuals afflicted with the disease, a rather systematized progression of ALS is reflected in this booklet.

This book is intended as an introductory guide and should be used along with professional medical care from one’s physician, nurse and social worker.
